After changing the ZN controller you need to push the service button, then go to the Tracker panel ( can't remember the exact button to push ) and replace device, it will ask you what device you want to replace with. If no devices show up to be replaced with you will have to reboot the Tracker to factory defaults, when you do this you will loose all TOD schedules and binay output programming all setpoint controls will default to local not Tracker control.
The best thing you could do is upgrade the image on that panel to V12, when you do this you will also have to reprogram the TODs and binary progamming anyway.

Brought to you by the school of hard knocks!!!!!!

If this is the new Tracker touch screen controller, you need the new Tracker software for your laptop, then you can go in and delete the old zn517.

Listen up Qtip, you might learn something.

This is how you replace a comm 5 device with Tracker ver 12.00

    Go to setup menue
    Go to panel setup
    Go to comm 5 tab
Select device to be replaced and select it.
    Select replace button
Replace with the new comm 5 device
    Refresh and thats it.

Some guys are so smart, they are stupid, right Qtip??

    Explain the above statement.
Yes you can replace a device through to touch screen very easily. But if the Tracker panel sees it as a new device before you try to replace it you can not delete it from the data base with out rebooting to factory defaults.
Glad to see you can read and IOM.

Actually BKU just gets off on stirring it up a little bit. It is obvious he has no idea about what he is talking about, but just likes to draw attention to himself. Just ignore him and do not give him any acknowledgment. He really is not worth the effort.

made the same mistake about 2 months ago, added a new device instead of "replacing" a device had to load version 12 on the traker and call for help lol but the old device can be deleted with version 12 was told that this is the first version that can delete devices seen I know next time I'll remember to replace it's a lot less work
