    wanted to introduce myself

Hello everyone, I recently started a new career with a commercial HVAC commissioning services group and I just wanted to say hello. I will probably be on occasionally time to time and as I learn more about the field I will hopefully be able to help people with any problems they might have. I have an Aerospace Engineering degree and worked for Pratt and Whitney formerly as a project engineer on gas turbine engines but the economy forced a career change for me. From what I've seen so far I really think I'm going to enjoy working in this field.

What is an HVAC commissioning services group?

Welcome, Are you talking about new construction start and test, like office building and manufacturing buildings and other new stuff ... maybe?

I'd like to say that's what I think ... but when people say that's what I think someone comes along and says "you think"

    Again welcome...

We do HVAC, boiler, emergency generator, and electrical testing and inspections for LEED certifications and we're hired to make sure no mistakes were made by the contractor or the design engineers before the project is completed (so nothing has to be torn down to fix the problem after). On average it costs 26 times more money to have an HVAC problem fixed after the building is totally completed as apposed to catching the problem early. BTW we work new projects and renovations.
