    To be technical: Pascals (Pa) are the metric unit of measurement for pressure. Bars are used in meteorology because they give a good atmospheric pressure at Standard Temperature at sea level. They are very close to Atmospheres (1 bar= 1.01325 atm). Millibars are just 1/1000 of a bar (1000mbar=1bar).
