I am a cancer survivor. Being a older person the asbestos I worked around finally kicked in a few years ago. They did there fair share of cutting but they said they got it all. Then the squamus cell started on my hands. To many years with a bucket of Speed Soup if you know what that is from the 50's and 60' before they outlawed the stuff. Really cleaned oil burner parts well but played hell on the skin. Back in the day we dare not use gloves or we would have been called a wimp for sure. Now they get to take big chunks out of my nose every 3 months. Same for my ears (way to much time on the roof tops installing and servicing A/C units. Sun burn city.

Cancer can strike up all at any time and that is why I figured I would post just to say you are not alone. I am not a great believer in the Big Guy but I did learn to pray for mercy when going through the lung situation.

I hope it all gets better on your end.

Every day is a gift. I hope you are enjoying this one.

I try hard to be a good person just to hedge my bets. We all have a date with our maker. I hope yours is still well in the future.

Fellow cancer survivor here. I'm 44 years-old and was diagnosed last December with invasive colon cancer. I posted a thread asking everyone who is over 50 to get a colonoscopy. The thread was well-received.

    Best.

I'm saying a prayer for you today. Attitude and hope are KEY, and prayer helps that a LOT.

Try to get some laughter in every day!

I was very lucky as it was diagnosed early. I had 12 inches of my colon removed. Wished they could have added a few of those inches to my wee-wee

I went through several days of crying, feeling sorry for myself, and asking "why me?".

I have changed that outlook and realize that I am a lucky man.

It sounds as though you have a positive outlook and that means all the difference.

Red wine is good for you (I think I'll have some tonight).

    God bless and take care.
