Where to find Carrier wiring diagrams?

    Hi,

    I have a carrier Tech2000ss - Model number 38YRA036.

The fan in the compressor stopped working, but the fan itself tests out just fine, so I believe the issue is the capacitor. I was going to change it out, but the Carrier Part number is P291-5073RS, which equates to a Grainger 50PK77. The issue is, that it looks like someone installed 2 capacitors in my unit at some point to replace the all-in-one shown on the Grainger page. I have a photo of what I'm dealing with: ibb.co/CPW2MkK

So I don't know how my wires would go in to the all-in-one capacitor that should be in there. There is a schematic on the back panel, but I cant make out which connections correspond to which physical connector. There are no markings (that I see) on the capacitors currently installed.

    Thanks,
    -Rick

You might want to research that a little more.

With all due respect, if the wiring diagram does not make sense to you on how to wire up a single dual run capacitor, it is probably best to have someone who is more savvy on condenser electrical issues to install the correct capacitor.

It is not uncommon to have a tech wire up a condenser with two individual capacitors, instead of a single dual capacitor.

Because of the website rules, we cannot provide technical information, which means be cannot provide wiring diagrams.

Twer it I, I would not even use the OEM part, but an upgraded part.

As others have stated, you have the incorrect part for part match and you are definitely in over your head if you do not understand the coronation of the wires to components.

Save a possible major malfunction if you do it incorrectly and hire a qualified person to do it, and get the correct part!!
