Now if we had a employee and allowed him to do such a thing that would be different. 😉

I have a long rope. I just tie things on different spots. If I have a 1 or 2 story building, I can lift 4-6 items on one trip up the ladder.

Lowering, I just feed the rope through handles, hold one end and let the items pull the other end as they go down. Just have to toss the free end out away from the building, so you can pull it back up without getting tangled.

Have you tried to lower a vacuum pump or recovery machine with it yet? Wondering how easy it is to 'unhook' those.
Had to work kinda late today, but I’ll try and post something on this tomorrow. That compressor was a total mo fo to get in and out!

That makes sense and I bet that was easier for you and most people but I have a learning disability with knots it seems. But anything to make your job easier and more efficient is great.

Ok I uploaded a demo of hooking and unhooking a few things including something difficult like the appion recovery pump. I also modified the grappling hook to make it even better!

Ive always thought it should be code to make all roofs drive up.

There are a couple Home Depot stores in Chicago that have parking on the roof. You can park right next to the RTU’s

I think every building should be the same way.

No way seriously...? I’ve never even heard of that.

You know what’s pathetic is that they don’t even make it code to have water access on the roof. I know there is risk of freezing but there are plenty of ways around that issue.

Wow imagine the extra cost in having to turn the roof into a parking garage lol.

while I'm sure that home made crane will lift whatever you need (within reason) onto a roof, the construction is a bit sketchy.

the way he did the pivot is relying solely on that eye bolt. there's about a dozen improvements that could make that a really nice (and really safe) rig.

there's a lot of liability involved with building your own rigging gear. OSHA does allow for it, but there are processes that should be followed.
