Tucson AZ, commercial service manager and a good tech needed.

DP Air Corp. is looking for a service manager and another experienced tech in Tucson, AZ. We have more work than we can do. Our work is mostly commercial package units, data centers, some hospitals and process chillers: Some easy, some hard, complex and interesting. They like to specialize in data center cooling like Liebert units, but do pretty much everything they can. Our motto is Critical Environment Specialist. They pay well for Arizona and have excellent benefits, 401K, etc..
It's hot in the summer, nice in the winter, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no floods or snow storms and housing is relatively cheap.
It's Arizona, so no unions, little training, your expected to learn quick, and study mostly on your own; but we help each other a lot. I have been a service tech here 7 years and have enjoyed most of it and learned a lot on interesting equipment.
The only real problem with our company I see, is our accounting service report software (Acumatica) which is horribly designed and time consuming for us guys in the field. Other than that, it's a good company with a good reputation in the field. The owner cares a lot about quality and integrity. We are headquartered in Phoenix; you can Google it. Our general manager, in Tucson, who is a great person, has posted the jobs at the local supply houses, but has gotten little results. I'm not sure if that's because of the Acumatica software difficulty rumors, or perhaps it's because of the general shortage of good techs. Anyway, I thought I'd post this to help them out. It could be an opportunity for the right person.

I understand you wanna keep the Unions out, but little Training isN’T exactly a selling point.

Most important things left are:

What is the pay? Salary, hourly, what is starting pay, and what can one with solid eperience expect?

What is considered "excellent" benefits?

What is the 401k match currently?

It's not supposed to be a selling point. It is the truth about Arizona. I'm not trying to keep unions out. I'm just telling you how it is here. I would not want some union person getting the wrong idea if they moved to Tucson. I'm not against unions per se, but they are weak in Arizona. Sadly, few companies offer real training anymore around here any more. But, if you're smart and study hard, you can quickly move up. People can make a choice.

I’m familiar w/ the market. The original Local 741 went belly-up and was absorbed into Local 469. Advanced Mechanical, Webster Energy, Oracle Control, Advanced Controls, and one or two other companies completely left the Union. Honeywell and Carrier closing their Tucson operations didN’T help either. Johnson Controls and Tolin are on fumes down there too. Dang, that leaves what? Two or three Union Service shops remaining?
I meant that saying little training being provided isN’T a selling point for recruiting.

I'm not a recruiter or manager, so I don't have much details. I'm just a service guy, so I threw it out there to be nice.
401K is 5% match I think and fully vested right away.
Healthcare and vacation.
This is Tucson, AZ. It is what it is.
I get paid more than I deserve. Our other guys have been here a long time and I don't know or ask what they make.
