Humidifier to ecobee or just use humidistat??

Anyone have their humidifier hooked up to their ecobee if so how is it?

Just put a humidifier in at my house this weekend and ran wires to run it off the Ecobee. It's only been a few days but so far it works fine.

If you have the extra wire by all means use the ecobee. I think it looks at the outside air temp and makes adjustments so so dont over humidify the home when its really cold outside. Plus its much easier to adjust when you want to.
