Hope this does not become common to save on power distribution blocks.

Who’s to blame?... if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. V for Vendetta

It's weird to see the power being fed to the bottom of that first breaker.

Is the advantage your brain gets cooked first when you lean in?

I see stuff like that in bigger equipment all the time.

technically, you're not supposed to have the door open with anything energized in that cabinet.

If the door is open with that unit energized, you should have full arc flash protection on....including arc rated overalls, helmet with face shield, glasses, rubber and leather gloves, and maybe a full head covering and ear plugs.

the ones I don't like are the older air cooled tranes that you have to remove all the screws on the panel covers to get to the high voltage sections.....waaaayyy too much crap in a tight space in those units.

I have a friend who works in a large plant.
He is the head HVAC guy and they cannot open ANY HVAC control panel. He has to have an (dressed out in full arc flash) electrician open any panel that may contain voltage.
A simple after hours callout turns into a 6 hour ordeal.
