    Old evap airflow

Old R12 walk-in cooler. One square evap with fan on the bottom. Fan blade broke. Is it draw through as in discharge down or blow through?

Sounds like a low profile. Blows up through the coil and out the sides.

That is a CENTER MOUNT coil -- not a low profile. A low profile coil is the typical evaporator you see in most walk-ins on a wall.

Generally if the fan is on the bottom, the fan is on the inlet side of the coil. Easy way to tell is to stick a flashlight on the inside and see if it's dirty.

you can look at label on motor for rotation, bump motor for rotation, check where dirt is on prop, i useally take prop to supply house and match up best as possible.

You guys are assuming its the original fan blade and motor. Those may have been changed to an incorrect one. Ive seen lots of times coils with multiple fans, some spinning CW and some CCW. Wrong pitch blades, too small etc. Supply us with a model # or pics!
