    I usually use pipe dope instead of tape on threaded connections. Rated for refrigerant, rated for pressures well in excess of standard system pressures and you don't have to pick out strands of tape from the threads when you change the reliefs.

    Personally I’ve never had a problem with Hercules brand Mega-tape and good old leak lock. Hercules makes good stuff. There’s something about blue monster brand tape I don’t like. Like it’s extra “slippery” or something. Mega-tape is king.

    I can give you the gasket part number for about any Sporlan part, even those pre 94/96 solenoid valves.

    And sight glasses, and this and that that I’ve accumulated over the years.

    As far as Carlyle, the oil level gaskets are common to any regulator. The seal where the adapter screws into the body of the compressor in place of the sight glass is Teflon. Nothing to change there.
