Metasys and FX controllers on the same bus

Does anyone know off the top of their head if Johnson Metasys controllers (MS-VMA1630) can exist on the same MS/TP network as Johnson FX controllers (FX-PCV1630) and have both report to the same NAE? In theory I don't see why it couldn't work, but I've never personally tried. I have a floor of office spaces where one half is FX vav controllers with a JACE and the other half are Metasys vav controllers with an NAE. Was hoping to ditch the JACE and extend the Metasys trunk to the FX controllers and just readdress and map them to SMP.

Cool thank you, I figured it would but didn't want to go through all the trouble if someone knew for certain it would not.

    x5 and I agree with bigguy158.
An FX-Jace is "open" so to speak. An NAE is, in my opinion, proprietary !

I just would not combine the MSTP bus. Either the JACE or NAE can be a router and just bacnet IP the networks. 2 small MSTP are better than 1 big one.

I just wish the JACES better supported CCT. That’s the biggest downside to FX or MS controllers on a JACE/ Tridium Server

Just enable BacNetIP routing in any brand of JACE and CCT will pull controllers right in.
It is not right-click and open simple, but it is close.

Yea I got that, I just figured like with the NAE it wasn’t using bacnet Ip for cct but thinking about it now, it probably does and just has an easier way to enable it and select what networks you want with passthru than a bacnet ip connection.

    Never mind then haha.

This is what happens when you pop your head out of an obnoxiously complicated chiller plant for a second to post on HTalk...
