Confused chiller not achieving set point after retrofit

our 2400 KW trane chiller is not achieving set point since 2018. The chiller was retrofitted from r12 to r134a. POE oil was recharged. Motor also goes on hunting. Chiller uses vanes mechanism and orifice expansion device? Need expert opinion

    Did Trane authorize this conversation?

    Model #?

What temperature are you trying to maintain?

There is a capacity drop using R-134A!

previously we were achieving a set point of 7 C. It is designed for min 6 C temperature. But now we set it to 9 C to avoid motor hunting and even 9 C is not being achieved. We did not ask trane for authorization. Is there any way we can achieve our set point?

Without any other information that’s impossible to answer. What does your service provider tell you?

Trane asked us to replace the gear train for retrofit, but we didn't replace dueto cost, we just replaced the refrigerant and oil

Trane needs to be contacted too find what there procedure is and what refrigerant they recommend.
