    RTU-Open firmware

Unable to communicate with a RTU-Open board using Field Assistant 6.5, I can get a ModStat report, anyone have any idea what I need to get this board talking again? I have found some references

to loading firmware or memory but I don't know what I need to do that.

    TIA

That needs to be downloaded. Given the date on it the battery has died and then the module lost power so it lost its memory. So, needs a battery too.

to put the board back to new factory status you use app loader. its on the ivu tools cd. Being you have FA I will give it to you if needed.
You use app loader to load the clipping file into the controller.

If you are using linkage you load version 4. if you are using the unit as a stand along you can load version 5 if you want. version 5 in the clipping files ( also on your cd) had some issues with linkage.
Putting in the better version 5+ equipment files is not in clippings yet.

Maxburn's information allowed me to bring that board back to life, thank you for that. But I would appreciate a copy of the app loader and clipping files since my CD is MIA, never know when it may be needed.

are you paying attention to the devices tab? when you click on the system name. it would have told you to download upload or resolve there
