You're hanging out at the wrong supply houses. We just modified a Honeywell RM7800 chassis and a Fireye E110 chassis to plug into a RM7800 bench tester and verify the E110 flame safeguard operation(programmer, flame signal, and chassis)from the RM7800 tester.
Please do post a detailed account of how it works out...
Including voltages and Micro-amps...

We are currently suffering from 'counter guy arrogance' issues at the supply houses...
Some of the guys behind the counter... who are inherently lazy... and have attitudes...
Are literally playing games with customers... for 'sport'...
I was in one place a few weeks ago...
Customer was having one of those days when he could not remember details...
And the guy behind the counter was laying it on him hard...
Manager had to come out and tell the counter guy to back off...
I hear complaints all day about other supply houses. We specialize in commercial controls, commercial gas trains, and hydronics, but delve into a lot of other stuff minus residential. We have one other real competitor in Chicagoland. My biggest problem is we don't stock a lot of the other stuff. The owner of the company wants to increase refrigeration sales but we don't stock pipe larger than 1-5/8". I had a guy today who bought relays and drier cores but I had to send him elsewhere for a 2-5/8" vibration eliminator. Well, there are 3 local refrigeration supply houses and 2 large pipe supply houses that would have what he is looking for on the shelf.
I would never be a dick to a contractor. We do sell to the general public at our discretion and I was a dick today LOL. Had a regular in buying some B&G parts and a slumlord comes in wanting a thermostat for a mobile home. When Mr slumlord left, the contractor said "The thermostat is not his problem" and I agreed. I sold it to him anyway. Not my problem. I sold a guy 3 transformers in a 2 hour span a few weeks ago. Not my problem. But if you're a contractor, I will give you an answer or find the answer. I pride myself on accurate information or at least pointing the contractor in the right direction if I am unable to help.

Why is it that those who complain the most contribute the least? MONEY CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS. POVERTY CAN'T BUY ANYTHING

You are a pro at running a supply house... and I am sure your customers appreciate you... more than they may say.
Down here in GA (state)... a licensed residential HVAC guy has authority to run electrical and gas and low voltage and PVC for his system.
I was in an electrical supply house, looking for a roll of MX cable... the guy behind the counter told me I could not buy from them because I did not have an electricians license.
I explained my needs and showed him my HVAC license...
He stood up, blew out his chest, stared at me for a bit...
And said this supply house ONLY serves licensed electricians...
And for me to leave.
Needless to say... the word got around about his attitude...
And they lost some business.
(And yes, he was reported to the state)
Sad thing... when hired help behind the counter has an attitude.

Reminds me of when I figured out ways to use relays to make systems do things the factory did not build in...
Like a relay to add de-hum to a PSC furnace (required a de-hum stat).
The supply houses I deal with... nobody would even know how to figure that out...
Much less even try to build it...
But then... I do residential...

A while back I put in an evergreen ECM motor in a Goodman air handler that used an incompatible motor so I had to get rid of the air handler control board and I replaced it with three relays so that I could have a cooling fan speed, a G call fan speed and a heat pump heat fan speed all separate. I just love figuring things like that out it's what makes this field enjoyable.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

The deck being rusted could indicate that the secondary is full of water and leaking out slowly it could also be from the fresh are intake just above the stain. They are sometimes known to condensate and drip into the furnace compartment because of the cold outside are meeting the hot air inside the furnace. My guess is the condensate trap which i am assuming is on the side of the furnace or underneath the deck in the blower compartment is clogged. Remove it and wash it out with warm water while you shake it until the water runs clean. It could also be that the rain gutter hose is clogged. The hose that routes from the exhaust vent collar to the collection box. you will probably have to remove the vent motor to get all the water out. Also make sure that the pressure switch hose is not laying in water or water didnt get into the switch. This will cause problems for you down the road.
