Replacement of liquid level sensor

Am loosing a lot of refrigirant when I try to replaced a liquid level sensor(sporlan item) on Trane RTAC 275 chiller,please any contribution on how to go about it successfully

Did you remove the liquid or are you doing a nasty hot swap?

if your losing a lot of refrigerant you need to recover the refrigerant or pump the system down. your also gonna need Techview service tool.
