Looks good, might pull the cap off the secondary side of the EZ Trap. Maybe some better pipe support than bricks.

    Thanks.
It is on a slope. I happened to see some bricks laying around; what would you suggest, filling up with dirt?

Nice! How does the filter door stay close?

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Thanks. I'm not sure how to use them. If you have an example picture that would be helpful.

I could not find an applicable latch, ending up made some from sheet metal.
Here is a picture of the airbox.

I wish they made those with radius corners.

Nice. Don't forget to remove the packaging on the filter.

A couple things I would do different is the line set and conduit would have to be anchored to the wall. I usually use metal single hole clamps for the conduit and metal double hole clamps for the line set.
Also if possible move the pad closer to where the line set comes out of the wall.

    Thanks for your comments,
I'll anchor the conduit the next time I come in for a PM.
The line set is quite a few inches from the wall so I guess I'll just leave it.
I'll keep your advice in mind on my next job.

I had a hard time brazing at the suction service valve. I went through 2 of them before realizing that I have to come in perfectly straight, otherwise as soon as I heat up the joint, the sideway pressure from the pipe would deform/damage the brazing cup. I'd blame it on the Chinese made valve with too thin and soft copper. Attached is the first one that I messed up

I like your custom metal work. The lineset outside needs some more pride in your workmanship. Not sure why you didn't turn 90 degrees coming out of the wall and run the line set neatly along the wall. It could have then been supported an secured properly. I probably would have convinced the customer to go with some line hide in this case.

    Yes, good comment,
I would move the condenser closer to the hole too, but that would require removing the tree stump and leveling the ground.

A good bender with the reverse attachment would help you make it neat and not have tension on the valves. I am currently using the CPS Black Max and I like it pretty well but the hilmor is way better.

So to do that I'd have to add 2 more 90deg elbows, one to turn toward the wall and another to turn along the wall, right?

I would bend 2 90s and a 45 to bring it into the condenser at the right angle.

I do own a CPS Back Max and made those bends with it, except for the 90deg elbow coming out from the wall.
It seems to produce excessive ribs when you get close to 90deg.

    Ok, thanks.
I was in the mindset of minimizing bends and joints.

Try lubricating the dies and if that doesn't work then you probably need better copper.

I will often add a joint between the 90s if I mess up on the distance between them on the first try. I get better at it every time.
