    ICE-O-MATIC ICEU045

    Hi,

I've been having a problem with the water. It seems to be not shutting off when the ice tray is full, so there is a lot of water being wasted down the drain.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers.

Are you speaking of the water running over the plate? That's normal.

its constantly producing ice when it would usually shut off for a while off the top of my head. The cellar has had a large pool of water for the last few days. The spraying jets seem more powerful and less of a gentle spray compared to 6 months ago. But as said it seems to never shut off the spraying. The only thing that's changed is that we have changed from just normal tap water to purified water. May just be me but im pretty sure its using a hell of a lot more water now.

Thank you for your reply. Hopefully you could help further.

Thats basically the same machine but the machine has a straight front. Same internals by looks of it. If you look at the water pump number 8, 1011337-31 Water Pump there is meant to be a plastic filter on the bottom of it. This isnt there anymore but it has made no difference, we always had a lot of waste water. That part of plastic was like a pringles lid with holes in. Would that cause it to be worse?

    Thank you.

    1011337-26 Spray System

It seems more powerful jets than before. Less of a mist coming out.

    Why is the screen missing?

Don't think it can produce more water pressure. Order a replacement pump!

I'm not sure. I presume the screen was not refitted after cleaning and misplaced. As the screen has hundreds of little holes in, wouldn't that slow down the amount of water the pump can push to the jets? Without it, the pump is just submerged in the sump full of water so it can cycle the water quicker?

To me it's like having a part slatted fence, it slows the wind and noise down by 50% or so.

    Thanks pecmsg.

I'm unable to find the screen on any parts website. It's not even listed in the parts manual.
