    Block of Ice not cooling

Trance rooftop unit. Not cooling. Took compressor compartment panel off and found this.

Told the maintenance man that it looked like we have an airflow issue. Took the blower panel off and found super dirty pleated filters encapsulated in ice and a blower belt cracked every 2 inches.

But maintenance is too expensive and we prefer to complain about being hot.

Crazy how you can slug them for days but they won’t take any heat.

In the industry we like to refer to them as Scrollballs

It’s a good thing they didn’t brand the company as “Boat” or that thing may have gone down harder than the Titanic

It’s hard to stop a trane but it’s even harder to start one!

Pretty sure Trane had a compressor in their test lab named Snowball that ran in a block of ice for 20 or 30 years.

Maybe she's just a little low on freon.

I'm just kidding. See how that belt is trying to turn it's self into a cogged version? That's why I like using the cogged belts in most situations. They flex and bend alot better, and don't try to do that to themselves.

ive actually seen the AX and BX cogged belts in the same condition, i choose the nylon wrapped A and B belts they dont screech with motor starts and the intermittent chirping is no longer heard...never had a A or B snap on me either..
