    Looked new

Went on an AC not cooling call. Unit is from 2015 and was about 2lbs low on r410a. And at first glance at the indoor unit it's a newer Goodman cased coil above a fairly new aireflow furnace. I notice the coil doors are extremely flimsy and then I notice that it is due to the fact the installer just put the new coil in the old cabinet and taped the Goodman doors to it! I love it
Wish I took more pictures, one is a screenshot from a video I took of me pushing the doors in and out about 4 inches

Don't tell Goodman. I love that they put 832 screws in the coil guards. If one disappears into the grass, no one will know!

And that they put the intake and exhaust tie ins directly in front of the screws!

Makes you wonder how well that "new" coil fits/fills the old opening.

I went to a chinese restaurant that had this done on 2 units

"both units replaced new 6 months ago"

    Coils were freezing up

Soon as I pulled the cover and saw the hack job .... I put the cover back on , told them call the installer , and walked out
