    Wireless thermostat for rooftop units

Has anybody had any luck using the wireless Honeywell Redlink thermostat for a rooftop application. Like the YTH6320R1001. I was worried about signal lose through the sheet metal roof.

I’ve used the ERM to control a heatpumps that didn’t have enough wires in a large complex. Several 3 stories, more 2 story with equipment on the roof, with no problems for at least 3 years now. The first few were right when Honeywell released the ERM kits. We did have to add transformers, but no connection issues. I didn’t look up the model number you listed, should be similar, as they are redlink.
There are two ways to do things, Right and Again.

Prefer it over other brands. Far fewer connection issues once paired.
