The smallest head Mitsubishi makes is 6,000, which is too big for some rooms. Therefore, they can overheat or overcool while running at low speed for sensing temp. In a room with properly sized heads, it’s not an issue, but in small rooms, we have cut the jumpers to disable the fan.

That makes a lot of sense and was smart to offer! My struggle is the heating vs cooling imbalance. Running at its lowest capacity (around 4500 btu/hr) my unit still needs to cycle off to to not overcool and this one unit cools the entire house.

I feel like I need a unit that can run down to 3000 btu/hr cooling and still put out 12,000 at -22*F but I’m not sure such a thing exists.
