I live in South Florida and my 21 year old Goodman is starting to have issues. My current system is a Goodman 3.5 ton condenser and 4 ton handler.
One issue I am having is that there is always a difference of 4 - 5 degrees between the rest of the house and the master bedroom that I sleep in. What could be possible issue/s and how can I go about resolving it?

Put a mini-split in there. Is the master bedroom upstairs? Above the garage? Lots of sunlight?
Soon will be getting a complete new hvac unit - was thinking about getting a mr. cool mini split but that would be another $2k-ish. Single story house and sunlight is about the same as other rooms. It is a bigger room than the other bedrooms and the farthest from the handler. Thanks!

A new unit isn't going to solve your problem without duct modifications. It's all about the duct.
The new unit is coming in because my current unit itself is having issues (as per my other threads) but figured I can try to get to the bottom of this duct issue as well. Will duct cleaning help? Could it a duct leak or insulation issue? Thanks!

Can't tell from my keyboard. You have the best pros in the industry on this site, including myself. I really want you to focus and listen to what I and others are saying....ok?
Yes, it is accessible through the attic although I have never been in the attic....room seems cramped up there and I might not fit hence never tried going in there...

Then anything can be done. Not going to speculate as I would need to see and test the system as a whole.
What would be the next step? Call HVAC tech? I do not mind doing that but I just want to be well informed about the problem/situation before having them over.
For example - my system needed r22 and i told them that several times before they showed up and then the tech shows up wanting to charge me $100 service fee for diagnosis but did not even have r22(or the alternative) on the truck and then says oh yea we do not have those.....

Use the contractor locator on this site and then post who you found on here. We can give you the best recommendation.
