    A Few Death Stats

Worldwide deaths from January 1st to March 25th, 2020
    .
    Coronavirus, 21,000 deaths.
    Seasonal flu, 113,000.
    Malaria, 228,000.
    Suicide, 249,000.
Traffic fatalities, 313, almost 314,000 deaths.
    HIV/AIDS, 391,000 deaths.
    Alcohol related deaths, 581,000.
    Smoking-related deaths, 1,162,000.
    Cancer deaths, 1,909,000 deaths.
Deaths attributed to starvation, 2,382,000 deaths.
    ...

We accept 50,000 traffic deaths a year. We accept cancer deaths. We accept suicides. We accept em.

Well, we havent accepted. We have accommodated.

We dont stop. We dont shut down the country every time somebody commits suicide. We dont stop the country when somebody gets the flu or gets hospitalized with or dies from it. And its because weve just accepted it. Its a part of life, and there are prevention methods, and there are things you can do to help people not succumb to those things. With this, theres nothing yet, and so thats the big shall we say difference or equalizer.

Weve got nothing to tell people to do other than hibernate.

Omg, when will ya'll get that it is NOT about the current deaths from CV. It is about what they could be... seriously... of the above, the only stat that is relevant is starvation, as that is the only stat potentially related to CV because of quarantine. I seriously don't get how ya'll keep talking about current CV stats... zero common sense.

    I hear you.
If unchecked as people wish people would be dropping left and righ in nursing homes.
Our hospital wouldn't be safe to go to for other problems.
All the kids would get it in school and kill grandma a week later.
Our hospitals would be overwhelmed like New York and Italy.. Luckily for New York they were able to float one over there.
We have a shortage of ventilators already... unchecked the problem would be much worse.
Some people go from no symptoms at all to kicking on deaths door in a matter of hours.. ventilators keep them alive.
The Boston business where one person infected 30 people
The family reunion of 11 where four died..three of them were in thier 50s..
Back to NY...can we imagine how worse it would be if there were no restrictions and five times as many people were infected?
People dieing on cruise ships.. wonderful.
How about your doctor killing you with the virus when you went to get your insulin adjusted.
It's a rough virus for sure... to rough to let it run wild.

MG, I am not even saying that it will be bad. There are reasons I too am skeptical of the dire predictions, but it simply isnt about current deaths... like not at all.

You can't talk about current restrictions slowing things down.
We have no idea how long the virus has been floating around this country. We only started testing in March. Yet months before it could have already been here doing it's thing. That's why the hot spots are out of control.
So the truth is that chit had already hit the fan and now we're just cleaning it up.

I dont 100%. But scientists are sure it started in CN, and that while possible it could have been here in December it would be highly unlikely it was in any significant numbers. If you are going to contradict scientists you should have something other than its theoretically possible.

And yall wonder why I say there is anti-science crap in ARP...

Scientists saying where it came from is straight science. Prediction is another subject, but not once have I agreed with a prediction.

I had it in December. I was never tested, but I had all the symptoms, and a relentless cough that was difficult to get rid of lasting almost 3 months.
