    Is confrontation with China inevitable?

The military isn't taking any chances. Interesting article.

'Radical changes': Marine Corps overhaul aimed at confronting China

    Excerpt:

The Marine Corps plans to give up its tanks, dramatically remake its artillery batteries, cut its helicopter fleet and take a host of other “radical” steps in arguably the most sweeping American military overhaul in a century — all with the goal of preparing for a potential 21st-century conflict with China.

We could destroy China if we pulled all our manufacturing from them

Which, IMO, makes more sense than a military operation.

OTOH... a little harassment... just to intimidate them... would be worth it...

I kinda like cheap TVs. And turkey fryers. And bag chairs.

I’m drawing the line on pork chops. Domestic only...

But what's the definition of "cheap" ?
Sure that upfront cost is low because the quality matches the price. Unfortunately you'll be buying that same item multiple times over because of this.
On the other hand, had you bought a higher priced better quality item the long term investment would pay off many times over.

We could also destroy China by first taking out all their radar and air defense. And then proceeding swiftly and methodically forward from there.

The Chinese want us dead. We are ready to fight the last war. They are hitting us where we ain't. And we have been financially and intellectually fueling their progress. I would pull all US company investment out of China and then sieze / nationalize all Chinese assets in the US. You smirking F's think you're going to stare US down? Yeah well try blinking Now azzhole.

I do hope for peace. I want it so much that I'm willing to fight to get it.
