We have 6 techs and we are on an rotation for every service call. We can defer it and wait for the next round. Some of us have younglings at home that daycare is still open but who knows how long.

I’m curious about my union classes, I’m 3 classes short of turning out and they are shut down for the foreseeable future.

Looks to have been a false alarm. We traced everyone’s steps back and found those that were infected or exposed didn’t come in contact with us. The suspected cases were diagnosed today by a doctor as non-Coronavirus related.

Is that what’s going on in that other thread?

I wouldn't say it has cost me my job. But I may have to get a side job to survive till summer. This winter was killer mild and the summer before it was record slow for us. So really a perfect storm to make us go broke. I think we are all broke and reaching our credit limits.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

I am hoping that we don't go below 100° and 90% humidity much this summer.

There are 6 of us in our crew. We've been split into 2 crews and we're on alternating days.
This started Tuesday (day before yesterday). That was the day after I had returned to work after being out for 8 weeks due to surgery and a recovery period.

I hope this passes quick for everyone.

I foresee some hard times ahead for all of us.

Three weeks ago if you told me this would happen, I would have laughed at you. I’m not laughing anymore.

Sadly is going to be a while for the hard times to go by. I never laughed at it , began preparing for the worst the day the Wuhan outbreak happened, I knew it was going to be bad. It took 3 months for the government to react and take the virus seriously and it will take at least that much time for it to dwindle.

I see all my customers restaurants are dead as a door knob. They are trying to make it on take out, but that will not be enough, plus the fact that many people panic shopped, they are going to have too much food at home. I had to go to the Red Crustacean today because the walk in freezer was down. The manager said it is being run by managers only, and they got 23 customers yesterday, and only $500.00 vs $5000.00 a day normally. Looks grim for the food business, many will most likely go out of business. At this point we have mom and pop grocery stores, food processing, occasional industrial, and resi's when the weather gets right.

I said that yesterday. Then I woke up this morning just thinking today would be the day.

We had a mild winter... and generally I try to not change air filters (spring PM) until after pollen season, which just started.

Gonna be a quiet rest of March... hope we turn the corner before Easter.

I do have a system going in Saturday and another sold for next week.

Here is something to think about:
From the other side of the restaurant counter...
Given how restaurants work, and what we know about sanitation in the kitchen...
Would YOU want to eat there, given there is currently no cure for CVD19???

I decided over the weekend... I am not gonna eat out (not even fast food) until this thing blows over...
Gonna have to learn how to pack a cooler again...

Not that I’m hoping, but I think we will still be discussing this thing at this time next year. Or at least the fallout.
Nothing will be left unchanged by this.
I know I’m getting tired of the work truck smelling like a 2 megaton disinfectant bomb detonated inside.

I know, I’m very very lucky to have what I have. But I have enough to last to around Monday. After that, just a big unknown.
    Scary stuff.

We have third party contracts that must be exercised. Approved work will get done even if no one is in the store. We did one like that today. There will be more to come.

In my area, it wil be getting warm very quickly. Some stores have EMS, and the monitoring can detect if there is something that must be addressed, and that will become a service call.

I would say that within a month we will begin to see the numbers trending downward, and everything will come to life again.

In China, the numbers suggest an 8 week window halted the progression of the virus, so we are close to being half way there.

    Fear not.
