    Why did my thread disappear?

I created a thread in the "Pro: Residential" subforum titled "What is the purpose of a communicating thermostat?" I created this thread in January or February of this year. The thread existed for a few weeks. The thread received several replies. Now the thread has disappeared for no apparent reason. I search "My content" and search for my threads, and this thread does not show up. I don't think that the OP of the thread or any of the subsequent replies violated the rules of hvac-talk.com.

Why did my thread "What is the purpose of a communicating thermostat?" disappear?

Would it be okay for me to create this thread again in the Pro: Residential" subforum?

Since the thread was accidentally lost due to technical issue and not because of any offensive content in the thread, would it be okay if I re-create the "What is the purpose of a communicating thermostat?" thread in the Pro-Residential subforum?

I should think so the mods are aware of this issue.

I agree. The thread does not exist, so start a new one.

You must have missed the scrolling yellow banner notice at the top of the home page that Dad had up for weeks stating that all content would be lost forever when the switch is made back to the old software version, which is what we now have. He also suggested if there was any content that you wanted to save, you should copy it to your computer and paste it back into a new thread here.

Chances are if you start a new thread with the old title, those who participated will jump in an help to revive it with you.
