    FP MR45 vs G5Twin

Opinions? I've heard good things about the G5. The FP is $200 more.

I have never used the fieldpiece but I have a friend who has one and likes it.
I like that it has a condenser purge capability because you loose a lot of refrigerant with the g5 when you disconnect.

I have a G5 and never had any problem with it. I've also never used the FP, but if I needed a new one, I'd look at it. But I must say, the G5 has worked flawlessly, so not much reason to change.

The G5 is supposed to be solid. I haven't heard anythiing negative about the FP either. One thing I do lioke about the FP is the digital gauges and (as R600 mentioned) the purge. I thought I'd be buying one for a job tomorrow, but have decided to wait and do some research.

    Thanks for y'all's input.

If I get a new one it would be the fieldpiece because I want to try it but I will probably just keep repairing my g5 for a few more years.

I need to replace one side of the plastic housing. It is held together with duct tape and duct straps right now.
