    That’s hilarious! Sad, but hilarious.

I have ridden with other guys, walked them through their calls, explained why and how refrigeration (AC) works, how all the various bits come together and make perfect sense. Why and how to diagnose and charge properly - ETC. Handed out my cell phone number: "just call me if you get stuck or have questions."

    Number One question I received?

(after I again detail sub cooling, superheat, air flows, and temperatures over the phone - they would say

"Uhhh . . .yeah; so what should my pressures be?"

If at first you don't succeed, go to the parts house and try a different part!

I can actually be a point of evidence to how this site helps you.

I used to be exactly like that, then I joined here and you guys beat me up so much I finally learned and I still learn all the time. I lurk here at least once a day unless I'm insanely busy to look for stuff I don't know or things I could learn from OR if I have a stupid question.

    Thank you guys.

This site to me is one of the few places learning is fun at least almost all the time. Digging into books for me isn't fun. Here you ask a question and get a link to a site without fumbling through a bunch of pages. You also get various opinions that are interesting. It gives us something to think about.
There are a couple of fun trolls here that are interesting if you are in the mood to waste some time.
At the risk of being repetitive the broad base of knowledge here blew me away from the beginning.

I found this place by accident many years ago because we were doing Beta Testing for a Hdwr. developer (who is a Pro Member here).

    I enjoy H-Talk as a huge resource. I contribute when I can.

A few weeks a go a Controls Guy sent me a screenshot of something he found very funny. It just so happened to be MY Signature line from this very site.

That kind of confirmed that he is a "Lurker" of sorts on here. H-Talk shows up in may HVAC related searches and I think that a good thing.
If sense were so common everyone would have it !
    Stupid should Hurt !
If people took care of their cars like they do their HVAC Systems you'd see a lot more people walking
    !
