    Compak ice machine

As of yet I don't know what caused this but I am sure the lack of maintenance contributed.
When I got there there was no power to the disconnect breaker box and the 100 amp fuse at the main power drop was blown so I had the property management company send an electrician. When I get the all clear I will go diagnose.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

I am leaning toward bad defrost board but who knows. I will return when there is power. That roof is a mess. I will Have to get some pictures of the electrical. Those units are the warts of the package unit industry.

I think Compak came about when Concord and Goodman had a baby.

Here is an update for those who can't read the thread on the pro side.
I found a wiring issue that rendered the defrost board inoperable.
Also the contactor was bad and whoever replaced the compressor didn't install a crankcase heater.

Thankfully the electrician had redid the wiring so unfortunately I can't post pictures of the actual thing but that open disconnect is the next unit down and is almost as bad.
That nice gray junction box it the electricians work and the second liquid tight conduit is my repair for the sunburned thermostat wire. The third picture is the wiring after I finished.
