Hoshi wont reset after no water

Water to building was shut off , now the machine beeps one time , and when I do a board reset it will NOT reset

I hold the button for about 10 seconds , and it goes right back to beeping

Ive never seen this before

I read that the thermistor could cause this so I tested the ohms at 3k ambient and 5k when inserted into ice water

Tips book says 500 ohms or less is bad , well 5000 should be ok...

What else would cause a board not wanting to reset?

What about air trapped in the line ? Can you manual purge it ?

The machine will Not come on ....

I've tried holding the reset button while turning the machine on

I've tried turning the machine on and immediately pushing the reset button

I've tried holding the button for 5 seconds of tried holding the button for 10 seconds I've tried holding the button for 3 seconds

I verified that it does recognize me pushing the button because the yellow LED stays on while I'm holding the button

Wonder if it starts up with the thermistor unplugged.

Theres a little green corrode in the connector , so im headed to purchase a thermistor

Its very odd how no water upset the computer

With it unplugged does same

That trip took a little while because Hoshi dealer is next to the gun store....

Now im 700.00 poorer

But anyhow , sanded green corroded pins , replaced thermistor , same 1 beep

So i start paying closer attention to the reset button and IF the button indeed works

Not thinking so...

So I fiiddle around pushing button 100 times and wigglin and prying to no avail

So out comes the meter. Without pushing button I find 2 pins ohm out , other 2 pins ohm as well.

Ohm across other way neither side ohms

Push button get same results... Wtf

It must be corroded inside

OK ive had enough , i take my little screwdriver and short 2 pins that didnt ohm out ..... and whaaalaaa it reset

I just got lucky

Oh and got a new Sig ! So all is well
