I've been out to Arizona numerous times and am ready to make a move here probably within the next year or so. My wife and I are leaning heavily on Prescott as of right now.

I've been in the field 25 years (NYC small business) and not really set on what new direction I'd like to take for work when I move. Thinking of going out on my own (one man band) or possibly working for someone else.

I knew the pay would not be anywhere near what I'm making now, but some of these job postings were straight up ridiculous. Likewise, the service and installation rates are assumed to be lower as well.

Some questions I have for Northern Arizona:

- Looks like I'd need a contractor license if I run my own and nothing required for service tech?

- A good portion of the equipment, resi anyway, is heat pump, propane powered furnace, or mini packaged RTU. Natural Gas not so popular?

- I'ts not super high, but assume you guys do more orifice changes due to the altitude?

- Do most of the contractors in Northern Arizona pay better than what's listed on Indeed?
