    Question Ice-O-Matic ICE series

    Hi guys,

I have a problem with an Ice-O-Matic ICE series cuber with an air cooled remote condenser.
    Model number is ICE0926HR.
The ice machine itself works properly but its leaking water to the ice bin. A lot of water. Looks like its coming from the water trough. I only worked on Hoshizaki ice machines before so Im really not familiar with this type.

    Help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Im going to give you some shit now...

If you can work on a hoshi then you can work on an ICE series ice o matic. This is a very very easy issue. Just do some thinking and visual inspections, especially on how the water comes into the machine inside

I would say the water float is not closing and its overflowing the water trough.
I didn't have too much time to spend there but while I was there it didn't leak. Store owner said it was leaking constantly before so they turned off the machine. I saw leak only after the harvest cycle when the machine dropped the ice to the bin and the water splash curtain was open. Now I had a call back that its leaking again..

Good. Now, another thing with these machines with a float. If the water pressure is high, that float wont be able to close even if u put a new one on.

So if the float is leaking by, replace it and make sure the water pressure coming to the machine isnt going over 60psi

Sounds like a harvest issue. Also check water curtain switch alignment.

So I removed and cleaned out the water float and adjusted the water level and checked the water pressure. It was fine last week but now its doing the same thing.
    Any tips?

It was 80psi but I closed the water valve to 60psi. I know its not the proper way to do it I just wanted to eliminate every possible option.

    Closing the valve does nothing

It needs a water regulating valve

Well the ice machine worked properly before even when the water was fully open.

Read the manual 20 - 60#'s water pressure! They don't just guess at those #'s there tested within that range. If your reading 80 they need a regulator.

Working and working right are 2 different things.

Due to high pressure its possible you've worn out the float valve just guessing!
