Even the manual for the earlier PGE10A series doesn't state anything about the inducer running for bug prevention.

I will agree with "joemach" though, in that I have seen a few units over the years (don't recall the models) where the inducer would come on for a few seconds (10-20) on initial power up, then shut off.

We never really learned from the OP if the inducer continued to run or shut down after a few seconds on initial power up.

So are you saying that it NEVER shuts off until the disconnect is pulled?

Yes he is. But he is super human with a 100 terabyte hard drive of HVAC documentation.
Can someone please explain to me -
Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but plenty of time to do it twice?

The new control board that was purchased was defective. Got a replacement from my supplier and installed. Everything now working normally. The 12j99 boards do say that the inducer will run in cooling mode for 10 seconds to prevent insects from nesting. Also, the inducer was never shutting off until power was disconnected. Sorry for the late reply, have been busy lately. Thank you everyone for your input.
