Smile aluminum pipe and galvanized connections

I am a retired handicapped architect and I want to build some structures
that I can move around. For weight sake I was thinking about using galvanized connections (home depot) and aluminum tubing with a gauge that can be threaded to accept the standard galvanized thread( at Industrial Metal Supply), I could use LPS green for threading the Al.
I can rent a Rigid threader at HD. What do you think?Thank you,
    Didier

Thank you for your answer. Do you have any suggestion as to what I should use as a semi permanent lubricant so I could disassemble what I would built?

EDIT: Will thread with regular threading oil.

Use the noalox during assembly of joints , instead of pipe dope

I stand corrected, upon some research i see special oil.

I have only threaded a few pieces, used rigid dark oil. Seemed to work ok

Flanges would solve all your problems if you can use them.

    What are you building?
If I do a job in 30 minutes it's because I spent 30 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.

What are you trying to support? How much weight??

The aluminum air line materials are pretty strong and the fittings are as well though they are a resin or plastic.
