    At least itís technically not a Goodman...

    Came across this gem today. Originally the call was that the roof leaks when it rains. I thought: well, call a roofer. But Iím there so I throw the ladder up and low and behold:

    OK I’ll bite was the unit cooling/heating, as you mention the initial call was a roof leak...

    I wonder if Daiken does something like this under a environment chamber test

    Yup. Itís blowing downward into the roof rocks. Customer hasnít noticed a difference in heating or cooling just water leaking down exposed lineset in store when it rains.

    Iím impressed by the size of the paint pot the roofers provided for the install. Did they think they would need to fish the whole condenser through the roof?

    But im less impressed by the quality of the sealing job they did. Gaping hole on the bottom and cracks all over it. Apparently itís less than a year old.

    so they installed a downflow unit in a horizontal application, big deal, we see it all the time around here!!
