How many conductors allowed in that box?

WRONG! It's the red wire nut on the green wires. Everyone knows red wire nuts are for red wires, and green for green wires...lol

I carry that same wrap on silver wire connectors material in my truck. Didn’t even know what it was for. Next time there are too many wires to fit into a nut, now I know what to do!

I will be doing an install next week in a house where every connection is wired that way not to mention the a dash of aluminum mixed in. I mean exactly like that. Taped in open junction boxes.

I'm tired of these mediocre "semi flammable" refrigerants. If we're going to do it let's do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

Before camera phones …. I re-did this indian convenient store by adding 20 outlets for 20 refrigerators the next indian was bringing in , and it had the same thing all throughout the basement except clear tape you'd use for xmas wrapping , with no covers

Most of the tape had turned brown …and there were melted wires feeding outlets that wouldn't work ...that's so weird

I did some work for a friend, they just bought a church. I was in the ceiling looking for a utility room light feed when I saw 2 pieces of romex cut off, laying on some tiles...both of them were still hot. they also had boxes with wires taped together. maybe it's the same ekelectrician?

I came across one I haven’t seen before, someone used a wall anchor (plastic) to “wire nut” wires together, fortunately it was low voltage wires for a humidifier.

What concerns me about that (the pic)...

Lets say there was two circuits in that box... and one each of the circuits was from each leg of a standard single phase 240 breaker box...
    IF... that neutral connection fails...
There will be 240 going through a bunch of 120 outlets...

    Seen this multiple times...

It tends to let the magic smoke out of things...

Which tends to let the magic smoke out of someone's bank account...

Common neutrals are technically allowed but must be fed from separate phases to eliminate over loading the nuetral.

Not a real good idea though, as a loose nuetral will cause high voltage on one side and low on the other.
Likely more important , if not on a double pole breaker , it presents serious shock hazard due to if shut off one breaker the nuetral is still hot.

I learned this the hard way a couple times, lol

yep , Ive had to repair 120v equipment that saw 220v from a rusted out neutral having 2 feeds ( i think that practice has been outlawed ? )

This box however only has 1 feed , the black wire , so that cannot happen here

    Still permitted by NEC .

Circuits must be labeled as such

Some municipalities have banned the practice

They are permitted only if there is a common trip breaker for all circuits sharing the neutral.
