    Lost a customer

Lost this building about a year ago. 25 LG mini splits that had a murderous install.

Fast forward to yesterday. Building caught fire and the GC was restoring power to unaffected units wanted me to make sure all units came on so people can move in.

Now I see why I lost the customer. Can’t complete with this quality.

I guess if I cut my cost by leaving trash units all over the place and not dispose of them I could have the customer back.

I forgot to get some pictures of how they replaced condensation pumps on these things. Pretty funny I guess. I’ll be back this afternoon to finish maybe I’ll find one again.

Why? I made so much money of those joke installers it was great. At about year 1.5 of the units life they were losing condensate pumps about 2 per month. Why? They ran the Darin lines over 150 feet. Provided documentation on why they were failing and made a killing fixing the ones that could be.

I just smiled when the number came up.

    Sure lol....

I was there Thursday working, units on ground level are installed the same, discharge of one unit straight into intake of next. There was a new unit installed recently and I was standing there looking at it gripping out loud to myself about the install. Gc walks by asking why there was an issue. Asked him to explain how an ac works from the outside fan perspective. He told me so then I had him stuck his hand at the discharge and said all that super cold air is blowing into this unit, so it has to work harder and will kill it faster.

Shame it took an in person demo to show the ignorance of the install....

Everyone knows you leave the old units next to the new ones so you dont have far to walk if you need spare parts!
