I have the ring and I will say I really like the clarity and the things other cameras wouldn't catch. Why not the ring?

I bought the ring, got a online deal straight from the manufacturer for $200 for the ring and indoor chime.
Only issue I had was I had to reset my router to get it to pair.
Other then that, it links right up. Clarity is good, nighttime view is also good.

Not against it, but it is a chunk of change for a bell , and camera. Just checking options before I order something that turns out to be poo

Gotcha. The playback via online hub is crystal clear. No app that connects to a server somewhere. You wont be let down trust that. You have the ability to share from said online source via email and the link directs user to the web based video. Still crystal clear.

I bought the Ring, and it had a poor connection to my router, probably because my house is brick? So I ended up having to get the Chime to boost the signal. The Android app is buggy, so I am staying on an older version.

Neither. There’s a pay app to record or store the data, or something like that. I don’t do that.

I don't know what to tell you To buy - but I Can tell you to avoid Honeywell. I have it on good authority that, although you can buy better, you can't pay more.
