    A little past its prime.

    Getting ready to change out a 43 year old
    Carrier, that still works.

    Blower getting noisy, told its time to let
    it go, and spend money on new unit.

    Would be a shame to put such a quality machine into the scrapyard, where it will be melted down and turned to a new POS.

    Yep, maybe not as efficient but still made better than todays junk. Like the others have said...if the HX is still good, I would have kept it going.
