    Yeah corn when and where I grew up in East TN in the 40's the boys would go after Whites who crossed the line.

    Like one I knew about who raped a young girl. A deputy told her parents there would be no need for a trail because that rapist was being taken care of. His body was dumped in the Tennessee River.

    Witnessed another young joker being given a few seconds to run for his life down the road with about 15 or 20 guys on the back of flat bed hey truck before the head man opened up with a double barrel shotgun after he got about 30 yards and he hit the pavement.

    They then drove off and it was in broad daylight. The boy got a teenage gal pregnant and didn't marry her. He survived and left the state.

    I think there is a lot of truth in this...

    We tend to identify with what we can 'see' (visually)...
    However IMO the TRUE essence of a person... is their soul (mind, emotions, will; personality if you will)

    Funny how we get things backwards lots of the time.

    Your soul is real. There are spiritual realities just as there are physical. You can starve your soul just as you can starve your body. You can feed your body trash food and see what happens to your physical health. You can also feed your soul with trash and see what kind of a person you become.

    Most people can't recognize a healthy diet of either the physical or spiritual food intake.

    Thoroughly agree...

    IMO it is a sign of maturity...
    When a person chooses to limit and control what they allow into their soul!

    Sadly... for some of the so called intellectuals... this is a foreign concept...
    As they 'think' (incorrectly) they are in control of what goes on in their heads...
    In reality... they are choosing every time they watch or listen to something.

    Here is an example of what Hugh and GA are talking about:
