    Ignitor should be close to 3amps(2.5 lowest)

    Make sure the stepdown transformer is tapped properly or it can cause heating issues

    Gas is factory set at -.2"wc

    On startup with no gas, you will read anywhere from -2.5" to -3.5"

    Pull the combustion motor. There is a screen behind it. It is usually dirty with pollen and dirt. Clean the screen.

    Check the nozzle on the inside of combustion motor. Spider webs get in it.

    If the heat exchanger has holes in it, it can cause no light issues

    Need to verify gas pressures. Voyager units are negative pressure burners. Manifold pressure should be -.2" and inlet gas pressure at 7-14". Checking current draw on the ignitor is good to check that it is working but I find the best way to test is by resistance on a cold ignitor. Getting up about 100 it is getting weak. Current on the ignitor will vary from one unit to the next dependent on the input voltage to it.

    Inlet pressure has a sweet spot of right at 7 in on the voyagers, even though they say it can be higher.

    I have found some of those negative pressure gas valves do not like to open when there's much more than 7 in on their inlet side. Of course, Trane does not want to tell anyone this, but after a couple of hundred voyagers I found that yes, in the combustion instructions, they do recommend 7 in WC.

    Yup!
    You will hear the gas valve make some funny noises when the inlet gas pressure is too high. The valve isn't bad, just lower the pressure.

    Something I have bumped into a few times early in the season is spider webs in the orifice of the gas inlet on the inducer. You will smell gas but it’s not enough to ignite and if it does it’s just for a second or 2. Also if that screen after the inducer at the heat exchanger gets dirty that can cause some issues.     Having the same problem on a voyeger 25 ton. Pulling 3.4 amps on ignitor, get fire for 10 seconds then off. Cycle continues with no fault. Need to check for 4 v dc at ignition module/board. Any ideas?

    Bad ground. Flame sense circuit is not being completed.

    When I replaced draft motor on this I noticed you could see into the burner box under the HSI mount

    Its missing the bottom bolt on the ignitor because its rusted out ? , and whoever swapped HSI drove a self tap screw directly under the big hole where the bolt used to go, so a tiny blue flame comes out the hole

    Can you replace that backing plate ?
