Atosa Quality vs Competitors

Looking for some opinions on the quality of Atosa equipment vs their competitors.

I have a bar that wants to replace 2 large direct draw refrigeration units. My equipment supplier is recommending a couple of Atosa MKC90GR units. The price is very favorable, but I am wondering about their quality and ability to stand up to the environment they will be installed in. I also want to be sure I am giving my customer the right guidance. I don't want to recommend these if they are cheap in quality and won't last.

Any help or opinions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.

Easiest prep equipment i have worked on so far. Hands down. Once its empty, evap coil and fans are cake to get to.

they are easy to work on, but aside from that, crap. We have been finding alot of leaks(warranty and nonwarranty service calls) in the evaporators, pretty consistantly in the same place. some trouble with finding parts also, and tech support is useless. true is expensive, and can be a pain to work on sometimes, but better quality and better support.

They’re pretty much junk. Parts can be hard to come by, specifically hardware. Everything about them is cheap, even the stainless it’s made out of is thin.

There are generally two groups of equipment manufacturers and brands.

One group is known for quality, and they cost more.

The other group is trying to compete on price, because people are loathe to pay for quality.

You get what you pay for.

Company I work for sells them. Their warranty is very hard to deal with. Parts can be hard to get, their condenser fan motors are different than any others and PartsTown usually is out of stock. Hard to get even directly from Atosa.

I have one customer has a Mega top prep table , I removed those junk 24v fans and installed 4 ... 120v fans and wired "on" all of the time

60 bucks a pop , but problem solved

I put a True evaporator coil in one of their prep tables.
It was wait for God only knows how long or pick one up from the True dealer same day.

I’m in the crap camp. The same Chinese manufacturer makes a brand call “US” Refrigeration. The tag is red white and blue as well. Pure garbage!

POOR PRODUCT , the 24 volt fans the wires just fall off them

Had a prep table evap splitt right in the middle of the coil. Told customer to junk it. Its a nice looking unit though .but they have very little warranty and part support. The disp in CA is a jerk, Probably over worked
