OK to seal combustion closet with properly installed direct vent furnace?

Hi, this question is not precisely addressed in the Lennox EL296 installation manual, so I'm asking here. Is it OK to seal off the combustion ventilation air in a mechanical closet inside a home if (and only if) both the combustion air intake and exhaust are properly run to the outside of the building?

    Thanks.

    Si.

There's not a gas water heater in the mechanical closet, is there?

Combustion air also serves as heat relief of a room.

It is acceptable to do this per code, but some areas have their preference, check with your Inspector.
