Really? The focus pro 6000 is still manufactured and available?

My local wholesaler told me a year ago they were not available whatsoever.

I liked that thermostat so much I put it in my own house.
If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I use 56% silver on everything except steel.

Did you really need the " If you were a real tech " ??

What did you like about it? It's a pretty simple stat, so if I had to guess, reliability? BTW, none of my local suppliers carry them either.

We can still get the focus pro's but we don't stock them.

Just because HW/Resideo is having a bad run within a certain run of date codes, of a specific model T6, on a specific application, is no reason to condemn an entire line of thermostats.

Siemens has some nice alternatives to Honeywell's residential/light commercial line but they are not cheap The RDY and RDS series stats. I have an RDY in my home and it has been flawless. The Siemens stats are 24v. No battery power so a common is necessary.

I have 1 of 3 suppliers in my area that still carries the Focus Pro. The price has almost double since the T6 came out, but we can still get them. The information I am getting is the price of the Focus Pro should come back down in the coming year and be comparable to the T6. I think you will see them more available in 2020.

The local Goodman distributor had a whole shelf full of focuspro 6000's when I was picking up some gas fittings yesterday.

Personally, I'm waiting on the latest T6's. I like the platform. I'm just using the WiFi version until the series 5 is available.

Another dealer in my area claims that they got a shipment of series 5 T-6s that were faulty as well.

My account rep's contact at Honeywell initially told him "never heard of any issues" when I already had an email several weeks old (from another supplier) stating the problems and Honeywell's solution. The other supplier issued a voluntary recall. I was disappointed to say the least.

I think I'm just going to be shopping for a new thermostat.

It was the best of all worlds. Inexpensive, fully programmable, easy to use, easy on customers as a transition stat from a mercury bulb. I don't remember ever having a problem with one, but I may have.

I have been reading this since the start and I have never had any problems with the t6 my self but I noticed some mention that the problem is only the non wifi ones. I did not realize there was such a thing. We just use a wifi stat and turn that feature off if not needed.
I was wondering what model numbers are having the problem?

I switched from WR to HW a few years back after Emerson changed the designs. I used to keep the Focus Pro 5000 on my truck until they 'discontinued' it. It was a good cheap option for rental properties (but getting the R wire into the terminal with that flat R-RC jumper they used was a PITA). I've had to replace several of those within warranty. I've been using a lot of the T4s (and a few T6's), both non-wifi. No problems.

I may have missed it, but is the T4 having problems too?

Picked up another T6 for truck stock earlier this week. Was curious, so just checked. Series 4.

    No series 5 yet.
