Temperature difference at heat vent vs intake (split?)

Taking a thermometer, I recently found out the temp of the heat coming out of my vents is about 20 degrees hotter than at the intake. Just curious if this is normal/correct. I have a Bryant Propane furnace in an ~3100 sqft 2 story house.

I seem to remember the heat vent being a lot warmer as a kid, but my parents were on natural gas.

Heat rise depends on airflow, usually the minimum on gas furnaces is 40.
