"Better tell the sandman to stay away, because we're gonna be workin on this one all night."
"Dude, you need more than 2 wires to a condenser to run a 2 stage heatpump."
"Just get it done son."

If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.
I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.
I use 56% silver on everything except steel.
Did you really need the " If you were a real tech " ??

I have two friends in the area that might be persuaded to check this position out.
One has 3 years experience plus schooling. Is an OK tech for that time in the trade. Very confident, I call him a hot shot because he thinks he knows it all already. Has no qualms about selling or upgrading anything. Thinks that furnaces 10+ years old are on their last legs and should be replaced as a preventative measure or with even the slightest repair needed.
The other has at least ten years in. Is a really good tech and prides himself on that. Will only suggest selling something or upgrading if he really believes it. To him a 10+ year old furnace is not old at all and would rather fix it than sell one it seems to me.
Now of course both could come in for an interview but if you had to choose one that is better suited for what you are looking for which one would it be?

If health insurance benefits were even average one would at least expect some mention of them. When nothing is said as is the case here (Unless I somehow missed it.) it would be normal to expect less than average health benefits.

I worked for a company many years ago that wanted to pay me $40,000 with a year end bonus to increase that to around $60,000 ( this is Florida so the numbers are lower than almost anywhere ). I knew they were being evasive so I wouldn't settle for less than $55,000 base . As expected my year end bonus should have been $12,000 ( 10% of the profits ) but they paid themselves large bonuses out of the profits which left nothing for me . My feeling here is the OP is being evasive on the details .

Yeah....Florida seems to believe that they're paying you with the weather.
