    Simple 80%er

Turned out nice. Changed out an electric furnace so all new B-vent. Had to get creative with the vent. Return was in the way in the attic and customer wanted penetration to the back of house. This is my work compared to others at my company. And, yes, everyone at work sees all these pics.

Looks good, that’s an odd location. Right by the garage door. Was the other Located in the same place?

Yes. The original was an old electric wesco that was 19 inches deep or so. Had to turn the 28 inch Trane 90 degrees to clear the garage door. We have quite a few in this location, mainly the ones that were originally electric.

I like your supports on top of the cabinets. That's creative.

I don't install a lot of furnaces so I don't really know, but shouldn't there be a tee somewhere near the furnace to catch any condensate that happens to form in that flue pipe? Also the insulation looks nice, but why is it on the return and not the supply?

80% furnaces, hence no condensation worries. The supply is lined, actually so is my first fitting on the return but I got "wrap" happy. Thanks for the kind words.

Nice to see a great looking and serviceable install. Wish more owners of company's would get out and inspect jobs to see what installers actually do.

That will be my new position here in a couple months and I will still be able to do occasional installs as well.

How's the burner noise on the S8? Had a class last night and the tech rep, who never sugarcoats anything, said they are LOUD! Don't put inside the living area like many are around here.

Yes they are since they arent sealed combustion. Definitely want to install in garages or basements only.

Looks good. I'm wondering if there may be some draft issues there tho.
