Can we assume the a/c is piped into the furnace, it's not that clear.

I think it’s a frozen coil that is leaking into the furnace.

My screen brightness is fully down low right now so it’s hard to see the details.

It's a skill I've honed to a razor's edge over years of struggle and dogged determination. Perhaps one day, time permitting, I'll go over the intricacies with everyone here .

OHHHHhhhh, they’ve taken the condensate from both the AC and furnace, then bushed it down to a 3/8” barbed brass adapter, then tried to drain it through a 3/8” ID clear vynal tube?

Am I seeing that right now?

I look after a tower where they have done that throughout all 30 floors of it. Different equipment, but blocks up just the same.

Just looked at one like that yesterday. Has rusted flame runner so only ignites one of 5 tubes and goes out on no flame error.

Looking at the rusted out tubes I told customer she should replace it cause after I get it up and running there is probably a rusted out heat exchanger.

Of course "No Money" type customer.
Can someone please explain to me -
Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but plenty of time to do it twice?

Well, if the 3/8” drain blocks up then the AC will drain right into the furnace, so technically both?

For me, on my phone, the last picture is so poor in quality I did not see there was a drain out of the tee at the furnace.

This was incorrectly installed, they reduced the size of the drain on the a/c.

Also, most mfrs want an air gap or escape if the a/c and furnace are tied together. The reason is the air coming out of the a/c drain may keep the furnace from draining.

And would have gone higher had not one of the plugs been missing in the side of the furnace.

Manufacturers instructions always harp on the dangers and problems associated with improper drains, especially with shared coil and furnace drains. I had to educate my guys profusely.
