Closed cell foam is much better at controlling temp and moisture.
Well insulated equipment and ducts will do the job. An insulated closet in the attic is nice but as you see more money.
Some a going all the way to insulating the entire attic. Expensive but reduces cooling/heating energy.
We expect real comfort now days. Temp/%RH to a set point, not easy on rainy day and damp evening.
